In Tynemouth (Preston) cemetery is a headstone which reads:

In memory of
Thomas William
Stephenson
Aged 52 years
Who died as the result
Of enemy action
6th May 1941
Peace perfect peace

There is also a flower block which reads:

In memory of
My dear husband
Thomas Wm.
Stephenson
Killed during air raid
6th May 1941
Aged 52 years
Deeply mourned.
