Resting In The Saviour's Love

Colin Boyd has provided the following:

John was born on 1st January 1897 and was working as a steward living with his parents, John Henry and Mary Jane at The Police Station House, Albert Edward Dock, North Shields when he enlisted in the Royal Naval Division on 22nd September 1915.

He was stationed at the RND Depot, Crystal Palace and was on leave when he died of Cerebro-Spinal Meningitis on 3rd January 1916.

John James Leech is remembered at North Shields on N34.33
