He died that we might live.
He was the son of George and Mary Atkins, of North Shields and husband of Margaret Jane Atkins, of North Shields.
Private Atkins enlisted with and served throughout World War 2 with the South Lancashire Regiment, until his death aged 37 on the 10th April 1945, in the UK, whilst on active Service. His grave is in Sec.K Grave 14205.
