Tunnah, G., A/Smn., 1915
On the Helles Memorial is the name of Tyneside Z/863 Able Seaman George Tunnah, serving with the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who died 23/06/1915.

Colin Boyd has provided the following:

George was born on 17th May 1895. He was working as a blacksmith living with his parents, John and A. at 7, Garden Road, Dudley when he enlisted in the Royal Naval Division on 2nd November 1914.

George joined "A" Company of the Hawke Battalion on 3rd May 1915 and was posted as missing assumed killed in action in Gallipoli on 23rd June 1915.

George Tunnah is remembered in Dudley on D34.01
