In Flatiron Copse Cemetery, Mametz, Somme, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 19/457 Private John Thomas Storey, serving with the 19th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, who died 21/08/1916.

He was the son of George and Annie Storey, of 3, Western Terrace (?), Dudley.

Morpeth Herald 08/09/1916 carries a brief obituary:

Mr and Mrs George Storey, Wansbeck Road, Dudley Colliery, have received news that their eldest son, Private J.T. Storey, was killed on Monday August 21st.

He is remembered at Dudley on D34.01
