In Ration Farm Military Cemetery, La Chapelle d-Armentieres is the Commonwealth War Grave of 23/1596 Serjeant William Poll, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 06/11/1916.

He was Patrol Leader of the Newsham and New Delaval Troop of Boy Scouts.

He is remembered at Blyth on B42.24
