In Earsdon (St. Alban) Churchyard is the Commonwealth War Grave with a private headstone of 1350301 Aircraftman 1st Class George Maitland Riding, serving with the Royal Air Force Voluntary Reserve who died 12/01/1941.

The family headstone reads:

who entered into rest
Dec. 24th 1929, aged 57 years.

affectionate wife of
