Reed, F.H., Lieut., 1918

In Chapel Corner Cemetery, Sauchy-Lestree is the Commonwealth War Grave of Lieutenant F.H. Reed, serving with the Canadian Infantry who died 2/10/1918.

In Earsdon (St. Alban) Churchyard is a family headstone in two halves to represent an open book. Part of the inscription is on the left side. We have a photograph of only the right hand side. This reads:

Liuet (sic) Frederick
Hetherington Reed
Of the 5th Canadians
Western Cavalry
The beloved son of the above
Who was killed in action
At Epinoy
Cambria France
Oct. 2nd 1918
After 4 years service
Aged 24 years.
