Morpeth Herald 25/08/1916 carries the following:

Mrs Wilson, 7 Sunderland [sic] Terrace, South Cramlington, has received official news that her husband, Private George Wilson, has been reported as missing since July 1st.

Morpeth Herald 08/09/1916 carries the following;

Mrs Wilson, of Sanderson Terrace, South Cramlington, has been officially informed that her husband, Corporal [sic] Geo. R. Wilson, N.F., has been reported missing since July 1st.

Morpeth Herald 02/03/1917 carries a brief obituary:

Mrs Geo. Wilson, of 7 Sanderson’s Terrace, South Cramlington, has received news that her husband, Lance-Corporal Geo. Wilson, reported as missing since July 1st, has now been [reported as] killed in action on that date.

He is remembered at Cramlington on C60.03
