Dickson, J., Pte., 1915
In Chapelle-d’Armentieres New Military Cemetery, Nord, France is the Commonwealth War Grave of 15793 Private James Dickson, serving with the 8th Battalion Prince Albert’s (Somerset Light Infantry), who died 19/12/1915.

Morpeth Herald 31/12/1915 carries a brief obituary:

Official intimation has been received by Mr and Mrs James Dickinson [sic], 53, Shankhouse Terrace, Shankhouse, that their son was killed in action in France, on Sunday, December 19th. Pte. Dickson is a married man, and resided at Stickley Farm Cottages, Cramlington. He leaves a widow and two children.

He is remembered at Cramlington on C60.03
