In Seaton Valley (Cramlington New) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave with a private headstone of 1446525 Serjeant William Robert Robertson serving with the 55 (The Suffolk and Norfolk Yeomanry) Anti-Tank Regiment Royal Artillery who died 08/03/1942.

The family headstone reads:

In loving memory of
my dear husband
Sgt. W.R. Robertson
Loyal Suffolk Hussars
died 8th March 1942, aged 31 years.
