Smith, T., Pte., 1916
On the Thiepval Memorial is the name of 6483 Private Thomas Smith, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 25/09/1916.

The Blyth News 22/09/1921 carries the following:

"Smith – in affectionate remembrance of Pte. Thos. Smith, No. 6483, who was killed in action on Sept. 25th 1916. Ever remembered by his father, mother and sisters. R.I.P."

He is remembered in Blyth on B42.17 and B42.24
