In Dartmoor Cemetery, Becordel-Becourt, France is the Commonwealth War Grave of 79655 Private Frederick Johnson serving with the 11th Battalion Royal Fusiliers (London Regiment) who died 22/08/1918.

Son Mrs. E. Richardson, of I, The Crossings, East Boldon, Co. Durham.

In Greenside St John's Churchyard is a family headstone which reads:-

Fred in the 1911 census is named as the grandson of Matthew and Mary Johnson.
