The following information came from Karen McDonald-Brown, who is married to a great-nephew of Joseph Bright:
Joseph Bright died on a mission with a Canadian Bomber crew and was buried in a village near the Alps. His widow had originally been told that he had been shot down over Mannheim in northern Germany. He was with 103 Sqdn and a member of the crew of Lancaster III ED882 PM-A which took off from Elsham Wolds in a raid in Mannheim. There are no details of the crash, but all are buried in Durnbach War Cemetery.
