T.A. Lee
Stoker 1st Class RN. K/3296
H.M.S. "Penarth"
4th February 1919 age 23

The Blaydon Courier 15/02/1919 carried a death notice.

HMS "Penarth" was a paddle steamer mine sweeper. On 4th February 1919 the vessel drifted into an uncleared minefield during a snowstorm and was destroyed. 37 of the crew survived and 40 lost their lives.

Stoker Lee is remembered in Allendale on A6.02 and in our List of Ships’ crews
