"Captain (Acting Major) Wentworth H.C. Beaumont, 2nd Battalion Guards, N. Gun. R., has been awarded the Military Cross for distinguished service in the field. He saw much service throughout the war. Major Beaumont unsuccessfully connected the Hexham Division in the Liberal interest in the General Election."

Gill Robinson wrote on 3rd January 2015:

"Today I have listed on Ebay an 1911 Beaker commemorating his coming of age and thought it might be of interest to you. Best regards, Gill Robinson, Welbourn, Lincolnshire. (My user name on Ebay is gillybrod)"

The London Gazette 26/05/1914 listed him on page 4223 under Cavalry:

"2nd Life Guards. Second Lieutenant The Honourable Wentworth H.C. Beaumont to be Lieutenant. Dated 3rd April 1914."
