In Haltwhistle Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave with a private headstone of LT/LX 26578 Assistant StewardRobert Pearson serving with H.M. Trawler Wyoming, Royal Naval Patrol Service who died 17/09/1941.

The headstone reads:

In loving memory of
Robert Pearson
died 15 April 1940 aged 63
and Jane Ann, his wife
died 6 Aug. 1935 aged 50.
also their daughter
Gladys
died 5 Nov. 1937, aged 19
also Robert their son
died on active service
17 Sep. 1941 aged 19.

He is remembered in Haltwhistle on H5.06 and on our List of Ships’ crews
