On the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France, is the name of 3323 Private George Davidson, serving with the 1st/4th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, who died 15/09/1916.

He was the son of Thomas Davidson, of Stannersburn, Falstone, and the late Ursula Davidson.

Morpeth Herald 27/10/1916 carries a brief obituary:

ROLL OF HONOUR

DAVIDSON.- Killed in action on Sept 15th, 1916, Private G. Davidson, youngest son of Mr and Mrs T. Davidson, of Stanners Burn, Falstone, late of Amble.

He is remembered at Falstone on F6.01F6.03 /a> and F6.04
