Brown, E., A/Smn., 1915
In Alexandria (Chatby) Military and War Memorial Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of KX/200 Able Seaman Ernest Brown, serving with the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who died 26/06/1915.

Colin Boyd has submitted the following:

Ernest was born on 29th July 1887 and was working as a miner living with his mother at Wentworth Place, Allendale Town when he enlisted in the Northumberland Fusiliers on 1st September 1914. He transferred to the RNVR on 7th September 1914 and was posted to the Howe Battalion. Ernest was badly wounded by a gun shot wound to the left hip in Gallipoli on 6th June 1915 and was evacuated to Egypt. He died at the 15th General Hospital in Alexandria on 24th June 1915.
