In Newbiggin (St. Bartholomew) Churchyard is the Commonwealth War Grave with a private headstone of 103159 Wren Elizabeth Muriel Summers serving with the Women's Royal Naval service who died 03/05/1946.

The family headstone reads:

Elizabeth Muriel Summers W.R.N.S.
entered into higher life on
May 3rd 1946 aged 20 years.
And Eliza her devoted mother
who died August 24th 1968Also Alberta Vera Caswell (nee Summers)
dear daughter of Eliza
who died April 7th 1998 aged 70 years.
