In Ration Farm Military Cemetery, La Chapelle-d'Armentieres is the Commonwealth War Grave of G/30268 Private Joseph Parslow, serving with the Royal Sussex Regiment who died 12/10/1918.

In Newbiggin (St. Bartholomew) Churchyard is a family headstone which reads:

Who died Nov. 23rd 1918
Aged 27 years
Also Pte. Joseph Parslow
Royal Sussex Regt.
Brother of the above
Who was killed in action in France
Oct. 12th 1918 aged 27 years
Also the aboveJohn Thomas Embleton
Who died ?3rd ?Sept. ?1952Aged ?82 years

(The last two lines are difficult to decipher).
