Watson, F.E., given award 1919
The Newcastle Daily Chronicle 07/06/1919 reports:

“The Rev. Frederick E. Watson, of Newcastle, who was Wesleyan minister at Newbiggin-by-the-Sea at the outbreak of war, and for some time worked in a Tyneside engineering works in addition to attending to his ministerial duties, afterwards resigned his pastorate to take up Y.M.C.A. work with the Forces. He has now been awarded the Order of the Red Triangle for services rendered in Salonica and France.”
