In St.Vaast Post Military Cemetery, Richebourg-L-Avoue, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 307924 Private James Agnew, serving with the Duke of Wellington's (West Riding Regiment) who died 03/05/1917.

The Blyth News 01/05/1924 contains the following "In Memoriam" :
Agnew: In loving memory of James Agnew, killed in action May 3rd, 1917, dearly beloved son of James and Margaret Agnew, of 12 Boathouse Terrace, Cambois. Ever remembered by his loving father, mother, brothers and sister-in-law, sister and brother-in-law."

James Agnew is remembered at Cambois on C6.02 and C6.04
