In Ambon War Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of NX23164 Private Henry James Cotsworth, serving with 2 Independent Company, Australian Infantry, who died 20/02/1942.

Carole Fife has provided the following:

Henry, the son of George and Deborah Alice Cotsworth of Bedlington Station, had evidently emigrated to Australia and fought with the Australian Army in Indonesia. He died when the Japanese took the town of Ambon in February 1942, aged 28.

He is remembered in Bedlington Station on B163.04
