Tebble, G.G., F/Off., 1943
In Uden War Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 131492 Flying Officer George Graham Tebble, serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, who died 17/06/1943.

Simon Glancey has submitted the following:

Pilot officer Tebble was the Navigator aboard Avro Lancaster I W4901 PM-W of 103 Squadron, which was lost on a mission to Cologne. The Lancaster was shot down by anti aircraft fire from Luftwaffe Flak batteries 2./665 and 3./665, and crashed near Veghel in Noord-Brabant at 00.59 hours with the loss of all seven crew members.

Lancaster W4901 PM-W had departed Elsham Wolds at 2230 for Ops Cologne

It was intercepted at 7000M above Vechel by a Night-Fighter captained by Lt Werner Baake (I/NJG1) and shot down at 0059 for his 3rd Abschuss

It was also claimed as engaged by 2 & 3/gem Flak Abt 665 hit and shot down – but the claim was eventually awarded to Lt Baake
