Dobson, W., Pte., 1918
On the Arras Memorial is the name of 23/621 Private William Dobson, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 23/03/1918.

Carole Fife has provided the following:

William was born in 1895 to William and Elizabeth Dobson of Doctor's Yard, Bedlington, the second of five children. In 1911 William and his father and two brothers were working in the coal mine while the family lived at New South Row, Bedlington Station.

William was killed in the first Battle of Arras and his military record shows him as 'presumed dead'.

He is remembered in Bedlington Station on B163.04 and in Bedlington on B15.20
