Morpeth Herald 07/07/1916 carries a brief obituary:
Lance Corporal T Macsparron [sic], 74 Sycamore Street, Hirst, son-in-law of Alfred Eke, late of Woodhorn, now in Australia, has died of wounds. Deceased leaves a wife and four children.

Margaret Allison states that his parents, Samuel and Madge, lived at 17 Pont Street, Ashington.
