Sgt. Davison was serving with 1654 HCU. He was a crew member of Lancaster I L7545 which took off from Wigsley on an evening training sortie. The aircraft collided with another, both aircraft ended up crashing 2 miles south-east of Melton Mowbray. No members of either crew survived.
