In Coxyde Military Cemetery, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 242311 Private Peter Tindal, serving with the 1st/5th Battalion Duke of Wellington’s (West Riding Regiment), who died 14/08/1917.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Tindal, of 21, Northumbria Terrace, Amble.

Morpeth Herald 26/10/1917 carries a brief obituary:

Signaller Peter Tindall [sic] killed in action in France. He was 21 years of age and belonged to the Duke of Wellington’s Regiment.

He is remembered at Amble as Tindall, P. on A13.01 and as Tindal, P. on A13.07
