Morpeth Herald 07/05/1920 reports the death of Ralph Scott of Radcliffe, who had joined up in 1914, was captured in 1916 and "suffered terrible hardships at various camps in the hands of the Huns", finally being released after the Armistice. His death was a direct result of the privations he suffered.
His name is not on the Radcliffe memorial, though there is an "N. Scott" and a "T. Scott".
