In Amble West Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave with a private headstone of T/S8939 Shoeing Smith Joseph Frederick Angus, serving with the Royal Army Service Corps who died 19/02/1920.

The headstone reads:

In loving memory of
Farrier Joseph F. Angus
Royal Army service Corps
youngest son of
John & Alice Angus,
Born April 8 1890, died Feb. 18 1920
Also of the above
John Stewart Angus
Born Oct. 14 1846 died Dec. 22 1922.

He is remembered in Amble on A13.01 and A13.03 and possibly in A13.07
