Cornelius Noble was born 7th June 1895 at Walker, Northumberland, the youngest son of John Noble, 310 Church Street, Walker, and his wife Alice.
Cornelius was educated at the West Walker Council School. He enlisted in the 5th Battalion on the 1st June 1913, and volunteered for Imperial Service on the 5th August 1914.
He was sent to France 20th April 1915, and was killed in action 24th May 1915, at the second battle of Ypres. He was unmarried.
