25th November 1943 age 19.

Sgt John Veitch Curry was serving with 28 O.T.U. He was a crew member of Wellington IC DV771 which took off from Wymeswold on a night training exercise. On returning to the airfield an engine burst into flames and the aircraft crashed into a field. 6 crew were killed, two were injured.

Tony Hibberd has sent photos of a memorial to the crew at Hoton Road, Wymeswold, Leicestershire. The mural does not have an inscription
