On the Lowestoft Naval Memorial is the name of LT/KX.160753 Stoker Arthur Edward Crinson, serving with Royal Naval Patrol Service, who died 11/12/1944.

Arthur was the son of Edward T and Mary C of Newcastle upon Tyne and the husband of Lilian, also of Newcastle.

“The minesweeper H.M.S. M.M.S. 257 (J757) was mined and sunk off the River Schelde, Netherlands”
