In Newcastle upon Tyne (West Road) Cemetery is the grave of 1593178 Sergeant Arthur Rogers, serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve who died 13/07/1944.

In the cemetery is a family headstone which reads:

Treasured memories of our dear son
Sergt. Eng. Arthur Rogers, R.A.F.V.R.
killed in flying accident July 13th 1944
aged 19 years.
Also Mary Elizabeth Rogers
dear devoted wife of Thomas George
and mother of above
died Jan. 30th 1961 aged 65 years
Also Thomas George Rogers
died Oct. 10th 1974 aged 76 years
dear husband and father of the above
Thanks be to God for their lives.

Arthur Rogers is listed in the Scout Roll of Honour 1939-45 as having been associated with the 27th Newcastle-on-Tyne Group.

He is possibly remembered in Newcastle on NUT145 page 30
