He was born at Battersea. A Sergeant, he was Initiated into Swinburne Lodge No. 2680, Newcastle on the 6th April 1915; Passed 5th May 1915 and Raised on the 7th September 1915. He enlisted at Hounslow and died on the 14th April 1918 aged 34. He is buried in St Andrew’s and Jesmond Cemetery, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Grave Reference QU 376.

He is remembered in Masonic Roll of Honour
