In Newcastle-Upon-Tyne (St. Andrew's and Jesmond) Cemetery is a headstone which reads:

In ever loving remembrance of
Our dear beloved mother
Margarite Jane Lawson
Who passed away April 6th 1943, aged 73.
Also her dear son George, 16th Middlesex Reg.
Killed in action Nov. 20th 1917 aged 22
Also dearly loved grandson
Flt/Sgt. Stanley Alexander
Killed in Burma Aug. 3rd 1945 aged 20.
