A. Cruddace R.N.V.R.
Hawke Battn. R.N.D.
22nd September 1920 age 22.

Colin Boyd has submitted the following:

Andrew was born on 25th July 1897. He was working as a rope winder living with his mother, Margaret, at 23, Cato Street, Gateshead when he enlisted in the Royal Naval Division on 19th July 1915.

He joined the Hawke Battalion at Mudros on 20th February 1916. Andrew suffered a severe gun shot wound to the left arm on 13th November 1916 and was invalided to the UK on 21st November 1916. He was discharged on 28th November 1918 with a 40 per cent disability to the left arm. Thomas died at his home address on 22nd September 1920 from Morbus Anasarca and Asphyxia.
