Crawford, W.T., A/Smn., 1915
In Alexandria (Chatby) Military and War Memorial Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of KP/967 Able Seaman William Thomas Crawford, serving with the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who died 09/10/1915.

Colin Boyd has contributed the following:

William was born on 2nd July 1894 and was working as an apprentice heating engineer living with his parents, William and Bertha at 46, James Street, Elswick when he enlisted in the Durham Light Infantry on 5th September 1914.

He transferred to the RNVR on 10th September 1914 and was posted to the Anson Battalion on 3rd November 1914. William died from Dysentery in 19th General Hospital, Alexandria on 9th October 1915.
