John George was born in the fourth quarter of 1898 at Newcastle upon Tyne, the son of Samuel Campbell Twigg and Isabella Robson of 171 Dilston Road, Newcastle.
He served with the Depot Battalion and was formerly (82127, Private, Training Reserve Battalion).
John died at home from the effects of pneumonia.
