John Alexander was born at Gateshead, Co Durham in the third quarter of 1903.
He was attested on 18th January 1922 and enlisted for six years with the 1st Depot Battalion. He re-enlisted with the 5th Practice Camp Battery on 15th December 1928.
John was the husband of Sarah (nee Brown) whom he married in the first quarter of 1924 at Gateshead.
He was accidently killed and is listed on the Army Roll of Honour.
