In Newcastle (St John Westgate & Elswick) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of:

16/325 Private
T. Nichol
Northumberland Fusiliers
24th February 1920.

Thomas was the husband of Edith Ellen (nee Ridley) of 36 Farndale Road, Benwell Grove, Newcastle upon Tyne, whom he married in the first quarter of 1919.

He enlisted on 10th September 1914 with the 16th Battalion and was discharged on 7th March 1918 under King’s Regulations; wounds, 392(xvi), Para.2 (b) 1 of Army Order 2. He was awarded the Silver War Badge on 16th April 1918 and eventually succumbed to Tuberculosis.

In the Battalion History page 116 is a "S. Nichol" with the service number 16/325. Is this the same man?
