A. Heal
Somerset Light Infantry
24th June 1915, age 25.

Andrew was born in North Shields in 1891, the son of Oliver and Emily, the brother of Eden, William and Emily. The family lived at 76 De Grey Street, Newcastle upon Tyne.

According to the 1911 Census their father was a School Master at an Elementary School in Otterburn.

Andrew enlisted on 2nd September 1914 and was discharged under the King’s Regulation xxv on 3rd March 1915. His trade on enlisting was that of a “dairyman”.
