In Coulvain Churchyard, Calvados, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1143288 Sergeant Kenneth Royston Heron, serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, who died 30/06/1944.

Sgt. Heron was the Wireless Operator on Avro Lancaster I LL620 JI-T of 514 Squadron, which was lost on a mission to bomb a key road junction in the Villers-Bocage area. The Lancaster was hit by flak, which shot off the tail section. It crashed at Coulvain with the loss of all seven crew members.
