In Bergh (Kilder) Roman Catholic Churchyard, in Gelderland, the Netherlands, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 1483125 Flight Sergeant Raymond Coates, serving with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, who died 22/05/1944.

Flight Sgt. Coates was killed when Avro Lancaster III JB672 LE-F of 630 Squadron was lost on a mission to Duisburg. The Lancaster was shot down near Kilder, about 15 miles E.S.E. of Arnhem, by a Luftwaffe night fighter, with the loss of all seven crew.

Lancaster JB672 LE-F had departed East Kirkby at 2251 for Ops Duisburg

It was intercepted at 5500M near Deventer by a Night-Fighter captained by Nacht-Jagd “Experten” Hptm Martin Drewes (Stab III/NJG1) and shot down at 0050 for his 39th Abschuss
