“Thy will be done”.

James Davidson was the son of Thomas and Agnes of Newburn. James was born and raised in Newburn and worked as a lorry driver for Walkers of Lemington, just before the outbreak of war.

On his return from action in Yugoslavia and Italy he was diagnosed with cancer, from which he subsequently died in November 1945. He was given a full military funeral.

James Davidson Nevin is remembered at Newburn on N13.02
