All we can do
Is nothing worth
Unless God
Blesses the deed.

(The quotation is from the hymn "God is working his purpose out")

The Scout Roll of Honour 1914-18 contains the information that Private John Taylor was "Late Scoutmaster 3rd Wallsend (St. Peter's) Troop. Died from wounds received. However, the date of death is given as 26th November 1916. Is this the same man?
