In Wallsend (Holy Cross) cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave with a private headstone of Cook Norman Henderson, serving with the Naval Auxiliary Personnel (Merchant Navy) who died 27/10/1943.

The family plot with a kerb reads:

To my dear husband Norman Henderson
Died 27th Oct. 1943 aged 34 years.

He is remembered on our List of Ships’ crews
