In Hartlepool (Stranton) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 4/9955 Private Aaron Parkes, serving with the Durham Light Infantry, who died 14/6/1918.

He is remembered in Hartlepool on H115.30 page 36, in West Hartlepool in W111.09, W111.10, W111.54 and W111.86 page 30 and in the List of Hartlepool Casualties compiled from the Hartlepool Northern Daily Mail
