Halliday, D., Pte., 1915
On the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial is the Commonwealth War Grave of 10131 Private David Halliday, serving with the 18th (Queen Mary's Own) Hussars who died 21/05/1915.

Peter Hoy has supplied the following:

Son of Thomas and the late Rachel Halliday of Jarrow.
Awarded the 1914-5 Star. Resided in Jarrow. (1042).
Brother of George Halliday, killed 1918, and Rees, died 1917.

Brother and Sister-in-Law: Tom and Mollie.

He is remembered at Jarrow on J2.22 and J2.43
